hi

i already observed that AI don't care about hit evaluation.  I never tryed to use it against it. What i do sometime is to kill alien in the cockpit with grenad so it a few less when you enter in.

No tactic are needed to take a harvester. simply crouch 4 soldiers on each part with reation fire on. and wait they will go out, until there is one to tree left that you will kill on the bottom of the stair... it's tactic level 0. If there are many alien start with explosives, then snipers and assault. dont forget to reload.

well let say for the 2.4branch you need at most 5 aliens and 1 for each specie alive (in order to unblock gaz grenade )... a alien containment is very expensive to maintain so you may avoid to use 2.

as i always say avoid to use weapon you have to pay for the ammo: it avoid to get soldier with empty backpack/unloaded weapon/.... plasma rifle & blaster are enough to fight back until at least alien base. but when you will be at this stage you will have your own advice on all weapons.

i know for sure they use them against civilian.

in fact what alien do is to fire then walk. once an alien as started walking "it" won't fire anymore.  so it can go across your soldier without attack.

what i sometime do is to kill an alien with a simple knife. it take a lot of round but it's alway a chalenge more over if it's an armored ortnok. The most beautiful is to calculate your kill enough to avoid a revenge if the alien is carrying a kerr blade.

to come back to the main matter, to get the gaz grenade you have to recover an alive alien of each species. it's an achievement cause you don't know the sheevar but your researcher have the intuition there must be a fourth specie  and don't have the idea of it.

yesterday i saw something that never appear before. A map with 11 aliens. I like the idea of suicide mission where there is a very huge level of aliens... on a small/open map of course.

it's hard to understand without knowing the algorythm...

 i guess it can be a round thing with uncrossable objects in the square corner so we don't confuse the pathfinder.

edit: now i think i get it; pathfinder only know about 4 or 8 direction on a same level? if so round tower and square stair should fit ?

i'm wondering why there is no civilian in base attack. i would love to have to defend my own worker and alien kill some of them i would have to do recruit replacement.

i don't know a thing about minaret but whenever i think of a minaret i imagine a round tower.

Now i guess it will be a real challenge to implement round (helicoïdal) stair.

but your car is also fully mechanical and require an air filter... it's same thing for bloodspider. Or maybe aliens developed a system to keep human blood  fresh that require the breath apparatus.
