Feature Requests / Suggestion: Additional Medium alien ship

We have the scout and the fighter that really can't be boarded.  Then we have the harvester with it's two decks.  During the time between initial contact of the aliens until the plot elements beginning, how about an intermidiate medium sized ship functioning as a heavy fighter/frigate ship that is basically a smaller harvester to break up some of the earlier missions.

Windows / UFO AI 2.5 ETA?

When is 2.5 coming out with the heavy weapons platforms?  Or will be integrated into the 2.4 builds?

As a suggestion, by the soldiers picture, the rank icon should be added...

Today's update build 1306568813.  After applying the new update, I tried to reload my previous saved games.  After selecting the saved file, the game reverts to the opening menu.  I then started a new campaign game, saved and left the game.  Restarted, and the new saved game worked, but not the previous versions' save game.

Design / "FIX BAYONET"

Since I was an American Comabat Arms paratrooper, how about an option to "Fix Bayonets" with devastating damage effects.  Rationale:  Throughtout the 18th, 19th and 20th Century, infantry tactics inluded bayonets.  It was the bane of the early American Revolution when British would approach and devestate the raw American Lines with bayonets.  Currently, the tactics are used for crowd suppression and fending off an overrun enemy attack.  Adding the ability to use the combat knife and its alien successor to attach to the assault weapons and laser rifles would add an interesting ability for close range combat.  How many times have I turned a corner and come face to face with an Ortnok or Taman.  Stabbing and/or slashing would be an excellent addition to the gameplay, in my opinion.

Anyway, 2 cents from an Artillery Officer and Fire Support Specialist, and Airborne Ranger.  "All the Way!"

Bugs prior to release 2.4 / Production Cues

With the lastest 2.4 version, there appears to be problems with the production cues counting down once the first UFO is introduced.

This one is interesting and I didn't see it posted.  Playing the standard campaign, I had my base in central united america with only enough small arms and standard armor to equip my squad.  Went to a mission in Berlin, fought successfully with one loss, and flew back to base.  Just over (what was France) I got ambushed and lost the dropship.  As I was refitting my dropship and new soldiers, I realized all of the small arms was still in storage and not lost with the lost dropship.
