Bugs prior to release 2.4 / Mission on Hills crashed..

Hi all,
I have installed the game again and it's much more better now. Soldiers are not in the same direction, armour collection was also fixed and weapon accuracy is also a bit better than before. Snipers may even kill a Taman w/o armour in a single shot..
However, the game has just crashed:

Linux / Problems with 2.4 version..[armour issue solved]

Hi all,
I couldn't wait until the 2.4 trunk comes out so I have installed the development version as I always do. The game is cool again but I have noticed some problems. The soldiers are always in the same directions so when I move forward, an alien behind opens fire and mostly kill a member of the squad. They are pretty accurate and the damage level is also higher than in my soldier because they can fire 3 single shots from a plasma handgun and a soldier is dead. I have to fire 2x double fire (6 shots) from a laser rifle to kill him (Taman w/o armor). I don't know why but I can't collect any alien armor (even when they wear a light or strong armor) and it means that I'm stuck with just that human armor from the beginning of the game. I have chosen quite many auto missions (50x50) so maybe there is the problem.
I use the last Sabayon linux 6.0 as an OS. I don't bother with the level damage but the missing armor research makes my soldiers weak and I have to retry many missions to keep the squad alive. It takes a single shot to kill a soldier by a plasma rifle. I have to fire 3 rockets or 5 grenades to kill an Ortnok with a heavy armor equipped by the rifle or a plasma blaster but he kills a soldier by a single shot..:)

Linux / Slow game after a kernel update[Solved]

Hi all,
I have updated kernel on Sabayon linux 5.5 x86_64 Gnome from 2.6.37-sabayon to 2.6.38-sabayon and the game is so slow that I can't even play it. I have an SSD and it took approx 5 seconds to load up the game but now it's over 30 secs and instead of 50fps it has 2fps or even less. I have also updated the nvidia graphics driver. I had the same problem when I first time installed the game but after that an UFOAI update (whole game cca 500MB) came up and I could play the game. A terminal output..

Linux / 2.3 build won't start[Solved]

Hi, I have bought a new SSD drive so I installed a fresh install of Sabayon 5.3 Gnome x64(gentoo based) and can't start the game. I have installed the game on my old hard drive on the same Sabayon 5.3 Gnome x64 using Portage/Entropy(emerge/equo install ufo-ai) and works well, except the reaction fire doesn't work. Can I rewrite a repository for Ubuntu(for example deb...-hardy) to Intrepid?? Does it work?? I've upgraded Hardy to Intrepid so I lost UFOAI and would like to play again. Thx

Hi,
I've downloaded the newest trunk from SVN and compiled it. Compiling game was ok but there were some errors during compiling maps. I can start play the game but the first mission(UFO down) doesn't work. Firebird just landed but nothing's happened. I think the maps aren't compiled properly or there is another mistake, I don't know. It was my first compiling of a game. There is the record..

Hi, I love UFO AI and would like to ask admin about the next release for linux. When will v2.3 for linux be released, please? I mean the testing version... :)

Hi,
Can I update the testing trunk 2.2 with loki_update?? I've tried this but the result is, no updates available and I can see new release on the website. In Feisty I could make an update(different game), but in Gutsy is probably problem with loki_update, there is the statement:

I saw something similar by Google Earth in ubuntu.forums.org. What does setupdb (1.6) mean?? Do you know anyone??

Hi,
I downloaded this trunk on Wednesday(10.10.) and it's probably an unstable version. Problems with aircraft(no enough fuel to go to mission in Africa, from the USA), but in the trunk from August it was good. I built 7 storage buidings and I had problems with space(I used just minimum space for primary weapons and armor), again no in the older trunk. The game is not in full screen after installation. Sometimes the game was unexpectely crashed down(you have no enough space available..., note in terminal) and then I had problems with X-server in my pc. I have to confirm, I couldn't fight with interceptor against UFOs with guns and without too. I've got a very bad sence of this trunk. I played to the end the trunk from August and there were minimum bugs.
I had to unistall the game(10.10.), because there were too many problems.
This is just report about the game, no complaints. I'd like to try the final release of this game and I hope many bugs will be fixed.. ;)

I have downloaded UFOAI version 2.2(15.09.2007) and I can't install the game.

I downloaded the game twice and same problem. Wrong archive. OS: Ubuntu 7.04
