Bugs in older version (2.3.1) / Auto Mission / Stuck on City map
« on: April 28, 2011, 10:58:11 pm »
I had several back to back missions, and decided to "auto mission"
All missions were a success, but, the soldiers mission number stayed the same.

One mission was "City Map" where I could not leave the Firebird.
I luckily saved prior to landing only to have my team stuck, and I could not move.

Windows / Hiring Soldiers
« on: April 25, 2011, 12:46:48 am »
When a soldier dies, I cannot hire another one.
Their are no soldiers to hire, but, there are about 25 different pilots.

Bugs in older version (2.2.1) / No Weapons on ships
« on: February 17, 2010, 03:14:43 am »
If I select my ship to attack a ufo, it says no weapons installed.
Weapons are installed, if I uninstall them, and reinstall them again,
I still get the same error message after waiting for the "items installed" message.

Aliens getting stuck in walls, rocks, landing gear.
They seem to res into them when the game loads.
I cannot kill them when they are there, but can see them.

Windows / Global Map error
« on: January 21, 2009, 08:04:40 pm »
When I'm in the geoscape, I can only see 1/2 the map.
Everything on the right is full of odd images until it is day
on that side of the world.

Discussion / New Map?
« on: November 19, 2006, 06:22:57 pm »
How about a map that is like an "Alien Base", but, the Aliens have
taken over a building like the UN.

The map uses all 8 levels, the building must be cleared of all aliens,
and depending on "how well" your team does, a "secret" is learned.

The secret can be a "random" secret based on your score.

Artwork / Artwork

Will it be possible to implement some images in the wiki?

Antarean
Ortnok
Shevaar
Hovernet
Bloodspider
Cyborg Ortnok
Ortnok Warrior

Also, will the "health" meter be able to be viewed in the "soldier"
screen prior to them being released from the Hospital?

This way even a soldier with "low" health can be swapped out
prior to the next mission.

Feature Requests / Gas Station Map

Not for sure if it will do it again, but, music not found
on "gasstation" map.

Feature Requests / Build Second Base Error
« on: November 18, 2006, 06:53:11 am »
After building a second base, I only built ...
Interceptor Hanger
Storage
Quarters
Radar
Team Room
Generator Room (?)

I hired 1 soldier for the Interceptor.
I was able to produce weapons and armor without having any
workers, nor, having any workspace.

I don't think this 'new' pilot made all of this  :?

An error in 'favor', but an error no less.

Feature Requests / Defend The Base Error
« on: November 15, 2006, 02:27:56 pm »
base music not found

Also, there seems to be 'invisible walls'  in one hallway, as
well as an impassable doorway in one room that leads to
a portion of that room.

Feature Requests / Error while saving
« on: November 15, 2006, 04:15:06 am »
SZ_GetSpace:overflow without allowoverflow set

I always save right before any mission, and may have to wait until mission is over.

Will there be an addition to the newest update, enabling us
to 'create' maps for online play, and be able to save and load those maps?

Offtopic / How X-Com killed my PS1
« on: November 14, 2006, 06:41:05 pm »
When PS1 hit the market in 1994, one of the 1st games available, was
X-Com UFO Defence.
Not much was known about the game at that time, and the instructions
were vauge at best.
This was one of my 1st PS1 purchases, and I still have the game today.

At the time, I lived with 2 of my buds in a large house, and we shared
all responsobilities in that house.

When the game started ... it was all over for us.

We divided all teams into 3 groups of 4 at 1st, and then 5 and then
had teams of our own.

We worked at the same job, and sometimes we worked at the same hours.
When we worked different shifts, the game console never got a rest, and
it seemed that the game was on all week while we played our own teams,
and even teamed up on certain missions.

This was the time when the PS1's started having problems with the 'eye'
burning up the arms on the track that it slides on.

So yes, wit the game on 24-7, it was bound to kill my brand new PS1 in a
matter of weeks.
