Linux / incomplete data.tar

the data.tar (at sourceforge) for 2.4 is incomplete, resulting in lots of placeholders in the wiki and intro (see attached screenshot). Please fix this, thanks.

Feature Requests / Increase hit chance on consecutive shots

The idea is that consecutive shots on the same target would make it (a little) easier to hit it, since you already have an aim on the target.

Of course this only applies, if neither the attacker nor the target has moved in between. I.e. this is only a temporary bonus within one round / attack sequence.

Not so sure about the numbers, these should either be static or ideally calculated from the raw hit chance.
For static I would go with:
+2% hit chance on the 1. consecutive shot, when former shot did NOT hit.
+1% hit chance on the 2. consecutive shot, when former shot did NOT hit.

+4% hit chance on the 1. consecutive shot, when former shot DID hit.
+3% hit chance on the 2. consecutive shot, when former shot DID hit.

In case of a dynamic calculated bonus, there should be a higher bonus on targets with a low hit chance vs. targets with higher hit chance.
I could also come up with a formula, but first I would like to know if a dynamic hit bonus like this is supported by the game engine and ofc if the devs are interested in this. :-)

Which skill is determing how good are you throwing grenades?

Also how do you improve that one?
Just by throwing grenades, or do you actaully need to hit enemies?

Tactics / Base Attack Missions

in Base attack missions, do the alien spawn somewhere in base, or do they actually spawn on the top and go down the entrance or large hanger (these are the only two facilities I noted which are open to the top)?

Also where do the soldiers spawn? Wounded spawn in the hospital, but the others?

I want to build my base as secure as possible, thats why I ask. :-)

Discussion / Change / Deactivate Autosave? (2.4)

I notice that ufoai 2.4 autosaves right before a mission, ie. when the dropship is already in place.

However, I quicksave when then mission pops-up and the soldiers are still in base, so I can (if the team constantly fails) change the team/equipment. Of course this quicksave is ruined by the current autosave feature.

So I was wondering is there a way I can deactivate this? I already looked in the options, but couldn't find anything related. I would also be happy with a console command or config entry.
