hmm edited but seems that UFOAI reset it on exit.
Puttin key.cfg in +r didnt' work (file has not been changed but keys in game aren't changed)

This is the shortcuts I need to set for having the turning on RMB on tactical scenario, right?

I think that having the same mouse button to move/tumble around in tactical and geoscape is a good thing.
I personally prefer right mouse button (as in some 3D programs) as the middle one (the one in tactical maps) is usually the wheel and it is not so handy.

Another thing. Are the shortcuts (keys) editable or fixed?

Equip soldier screen.
I cannot get info or tooltip if I click/put mouse over on a object with x0 availability.

This was changed due to some one complaining that he gets RFed upon every step by the same alien unit.
Although now I dont see Aliens RF at all. This basically kills the reaction fire mechanism and makes it pointless wasting time units in saving for reaction fire for your own units as well. Perhaps a mid way would be for units to fire at any interval between his required RF TU cost and then not be able to fire again untill the next interval, but its all up to the devs

Maybe I completely misunderstood your request.

In current code, when targeting something, the LoF (line of fire) is green (or red if blocked). I thought you wanted the line to turn from green to yellow if even the slightest deviation would cause the bullet to hit an obstacle.
Is that what you want ?

Ok. After some hours of playing I understand more about LOS and yes I didn't fully understand the red/green code of the LOS line..
I just realized that my request about the yellow line (partial LOS) isn't that important or cool.

I think that only think I'd like to have is the ability to "freeze" the LOS line to a point and then turn around and see what is blocking (in case of red line) and how to move the soldier. Something more easy to do of what is already being possibile that can help when you check los on a different level.
The red line now define a not clear LOS right? Is this made with poly in game or a calculation?

edit : well I know FPV will be removed but I think it's the fastest way to check if a soldier got a clear LOS to different points. This post was about this, a fast way to check LOS on different points (ie. a door, a corner and a 3 windows at the same time)

btw there's a command to frame in to the active soldier?

Is it possibile now to define a clear (green) LOS?
I don't know how LOS is calculated so please explain it a bit if you like.

Basically, I like the idea :)
But how do you want to define the 'yellow state', considering that the current code doesn't even calculate the hit probability correctly ?

So you tell me that clear los (green) and full blocked one (red) can be defined and implemented?
If yes red and green can be enough for now, as soldier with bare eyesight do a fast evalutation of the LOS.

Maybe in future with some implants or googles yellow can come out. :)

Seriously they need to bring up the latest version so that we can download. It has been about 2 years! Come on!

Well for me anything that come out from this project is a blessing.
As nobody is asking money I think that they have the right to take all the time they need.

As FPV will be removed is it possibile to have in 2.4 the line from soldier to a target area slot of 3 different colors?
Like green = clear LOS, yellow = partial LOS, red = no LOD (something is blocking).
Something that can be activated with ctrl. We got 2 way of changing direction of sight of a soldier (left mouse and ctrl) so ctrl can be changed to that.

It may not be precise....just a fast way to check if a soldier has a LOS on a point.

I use FPV most of the times to have a feeling if the soldier has a clear LOS to a point (door, windows, corner, etc.) and without it I think we all end placing soldiers to watch a wall :) Yes I know, now is bugged but losing it it's a loss in game tactics.

Is it possibile? Opinion?

Yes, I know can be a cheat but it can be very easy to avoid this ( like avoiding a save panel but just giving a "restore" option when you load the last save of a campaing - with dump linked to save in a manner - or just giving the a one chance option to load it when you start the game )
Btw I know that every features, even minor ones, can require a lot of time.
Maybe keep it as a FR for a future build.

Hi, first plese let me thanks all the peaple that makes this game a reality!!
I've played all the X-COM titles and still have the game boxes somewhere around.
So you can understand how I felt when I've founded this project. ^^

As sometimes tactical mission require sometimes a lot of time and it's not always possibile to keep PC on or the game open.
Is it possibile to have a "save/dump" feature to save the state of the mission and continue after some times?

I've already readed the reason for no save during tactical mission and I'd like it.
My request isn't for a save feature.

It's because most of the times during a tactical mission there's always someone who need your help, and usually got a stupid reasons like making dinner, clean the house, bring down the dog, a cold bed.... :)
