Bugs in older version (2.3.1) / INVSH_AddInvList: No free inventory space!

I get this randomly mostly during equipping the soldiers, but sometimes during battle too
(started playing with 2.3.1 hotfix and now playing on a 2.3.2 build from early february)

Never the less, how to reproduce it with some chance:
i rename my soldiers after every battle with the rank and number of kills at the and of name. so i "touch" every soldiers after battle. By doing this, this game crahes after every 1 to 3 battles with the error

i can't give you much more infos. The problem is, that the game crashes only to console without a crashdump

on my notebook with a GF 9300 the river has the same glitch. so its not a matter of the graphics card vendor

How that? i cant believe that... i got nvidia geforce 7600GT and i play alot other new games where are alot better graphic effects like shader 3.0..  im use winXP servicepack 3 and all drivers up to date, microsoft visual c++  2010, microsoft netframework all packs (2.0 to 3.5) installed.

did you used that installer pack from destructavator and saw the dynamic lighning effect? and if this works with your pc... you use ati or nvidia graphic-card?

the builds are okay, its your (and also my) gt7600 thats to old.

there are no shader 3.0 effects, are there? i made a compatibly list on opengl 3.0 cards, since ufoai uses it for gsls functions. To bad no one ever read it

Laut wiki steht cdr für Commander. Das entsprechende pandon im deutschen wäre dann der Oberstleutnant und nicht der Brigadegeneral. Da der Colonel der höchste Rang unter dem ersten General in der US Navy ist, so dass der Commander sogar noch unter dem Colonel kommt. Also ist der Commander im deutschen der Oberstleutnant.  Sec Gen bedeutet Secretary-General, was einfach Generalsektär auf deutsch bedeutet.

in english:
the US Navy rang "Commander" is a "Oberstleutnant" in german bundeswehr and not a Brigadier general

i have the same problem so i zoom out to max before ending the turn. Would be nice to be able to zoom out a little bit more, so the hole map is on screen :)

you even got a terrible performance impact with an old card using the glsl. my fps dropped down to 10 fps :(

did you try to deactivate the glsl shaders already?

i did some tests with 3 nvidia cards and glsl:

7300 LE  Driver 19x
7600 GT Driver 16x
9200M Driver 179

Only the 9200M shows textures with activated glsl shaders

I did some research with google than:

so ufo ai uses GLSL 1.30 (opengl 3.0) functions for drawing the soldier textures

nvida: you need at least a nvida 8x series card and the driver version 177.89 on windows and version 180.29 for Linux

ati: you need at least the Catalyst driver version 9.1 Windows/Linux and a HD2xxx Series card

intel: you need at least one of the mentioned chips at this site and the latest driver (don't know anything about intel chips (pfui))

Exists a hardware compatibility list in wiki?
Is it possible to deactivate the glsl option for older cards (future request?)?    
How complex would it be to have two render pathes one for 3.0 and one for 2.1?

So I recently stumbled across this jewel, and I've yet to be able to get it to permanently run in fullscreen, crashes every single time. The only way I can get it to full screen is via starting two clients, the second of which for some bizarre reason won't crash whatsoever.

might be a stupid question, but did you install the nvidia drivers and if yes what driver version?

lol yeah i found it. never thought on clicking in one of the circles left to each firemode :) the way it works is not so bad (if you know about it ;))

selecting multiple reactionfire has still no graphical effect, but it works, right?

I tried a single battle, doesn't change the problem: "can't activate reaction fire" is displayed

you have to select a firemode first - the usage of this will be changed before 2.3 will be released. it's currently way too many clicks to activate rf.

i guess we are just somewhat clumsy on how to use it. So where do i and how do i select the firemode?

the texture problems seem to be fixed in r28384 and r28395

i hope muton makes a new installer soon :)
