there is an option to increase the geoscape ambient lighting - did you try to increase that one?

That has no effect of the perpetual night. But with the overlay drawn, it does light up more, as far as i can tell anyways.

I was running into the same problem with the sound. Downloaded the DMG release of 2.3 and the log is filled with many many

This is on my MacBook Pro 2.66Gz Core 2 Duo running OS X.6.4 . I later decided to build from trunk (r30598) just an intel binary for my machine and it does not seem to have this problem, and plays audio just fine.

However GLSL does not seem to play nicely in Batlescape.

On the Geoscape side however, I have a very interesting problem, the earth is in eternal night. This happens in both the 2.3 and the trunk build I have. Happens regardless of the setting of GLSL. Included are screenshots from the trunk build.
