im at my house and a little sick/really bored, so i was going through a bunch of old burned cds i had (mostly data) and throwing them out.

on one of them was an older version of the open source/free game ufo: alien invasion, which i must have played in like 2003 to try it out.

i decided to google it and downloaded the newest version, which was from 12/09 indicating they have been working on it.

i just finished playing the game for like at least 3 hours (really, really rare for me).
damn has this really matured over time. its fucking brilliant.

its actually a good remake of xcom, capturing the entire mood, all elements of the game, and adding in awesome features/graphics (quake 2).

if you ever liked xcom, check it out.

there is multiplayer as well, though i cant imagine waiting 20 minutes for the other persons turn to finish!!
