It is possible but we won't do. All you need to do is creating the models for them, and replacing the original ones (or modify scripts) but for soldier models you will need to create animations too. And of course datafiles of XCom can't be used in UFO:AI (different format) you have to recreate those ships, soldiers from scratch.

Alright, that's cool. I was just wondering if someone made the Models/Animations and such if it was possible.

Feature Requests / Better Abort Mission

Like title says, I'd like a better Abort Mission. I mean, if a unit is in the Ship, and you hit abort mission, you'd think the craft would lift up and return to base. Instead of just being destroyed along with all soldiers. One thing I liked from the original X-Com was that if a mission ended up going bad, I could abort the mission with my remaining survivors. In Alien Invasion, however, all missions are Do-or-dies. You CAN'T abort to save troops/planes.



P.S.: I play this game like I do the original X-Com. That means no retries if a mission goes down horrendously.

No Idea where to put this, and it's probably been suggested before, but after getting into this amazing game, I thought of an idea:

Making Phalanx ships look like X-Com ships (and maybe even the soldiers). So, as a person who's only done Code-Modding in games, I must ask. Is it possible to make Phalanx Ships and Units look like X-Com ships and rookies? This would be doing, say, turning the current beginning-game soldier transport ship into a Skyranger, turning Male soldiers into the whole Guile haircut X-Com rookies we all (hopefully) know and love.

Once again, just asking if it's possible.
