Mac / Re: Problem starting/opening game

2.3.0 works, except for the sound.

All the files available at Sourceforge still have the 2010 - 06 - 17 date tag... and I also tried redownloading the 2.3 dmg, with no luck on sound still (except for the into movie when I first opened the app), though I haven't tested the glass breaking for sound.

Have the changes only been added to the source, or not been properly merged? Or am I missing something?

I have an Intel i5 iMac and haven't downloaded any libs... under the impression I'm not supposed to need to download any.

I'm very surprised.

I love Wesnoth and it's very original. It's also a full game without missing features. But then of course I hate the single player experience of it - I only play multi-player. Out of the three game there that I have played, I would rate it at the top.

Also, I can't judge FreeCiv on it's own, I have owned Civ 2-4 and I always compare FreeCiv to those games, and that just makes it feel so old and outdated.

Haven't played the other two.

I suppose at this stage UFO:AI is the opposite to Wesnoth for me: I play single player but I am yet to play multi-player (I am one of those lazy people that doesn't play multi-player unless there is a dedicated multi-player-server-tracker).

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'll have to go with Blender because a quick search hasn't turned up any support for truespace running natively in OS X.

I'll try out some tutorials and unless someone suggest a model to make I'll try an interesting sounding one.

Artwork / Never modelled but want to learn. Need some direction

Hi all,

I'm doing an engineering degree and have actually modelled 2 items before (using Pro E Wildfire), but I can't use that program at home (and doubt it would support .md2).

So I have almost zero experience and am looking for some pointers:

a: A relatively easy-to-use program that supports md2 (and I don't need a license for). It also needs to support Mac OS X 10.4

and

b: A suggestion for which model I should try to make first for the project, but obviously at this point not one that is urgent.

Love the game and want to help make it feel complete.
