Actually, I seem to be having this issue with multiple maps. UFO:AI doesn't like fullscreen

A little unusual. Have had a repeated issue with trying to play the japan map whilst in full-screen. If I try to initiate the mission whilst ALREADY in full-screen, the game freezes on 'awaiting game start (0)' and has to be killed via task manager. If I try to switch to full-screen after starting the mission in windowed, the game again freezes and has to be killed via task-manager.
If I start the map windowed, it runs fine.
