I draw a 5*5 grid on a piece of paper and keep track of where I've been through, then just send one guy through each square with react fire. Yeah - it takes an hour or more.

My vote would be to just plain have the bases max out at 4*4, unless you can make the alien AI start actually sweeping the base offensively.

Also - workers, pilots and scientists should be present as civilians and possibly die, and all have some stats so you could use them if not enough soldiers were around (think 1/2 of a trained soldier).

Mainly it's an AI problem - they're not aggressive and don't move much if there's no enemy units nearby.
If pilot are present and scientist we should be able to command them and to equip them with weapons.

Only one big shoot with max of precision is more usefull than a riffle miss.

The number of base is limited.
So be careful.
Base invasion is not detected from the radar.
So always keep a base defence squad on each of them.

Les mines de proximité me manque.

Les grenades fumigènes colorantes seraient utiles pour informer les civiles des zones sécurisées et pourquoi pas attirer nos ennemis sur des embuscades.

Proximity mine are missing to create ambush to aliens.

Colour Grenade should be useful to pull civilian into safety place

I noticed bigger ship are the fastest, it's not logic

Mac / Re: Fullscreen startup crash on 2.4-Dev OSX10.6.7

I have find a solution to solve the start-up crash and the quit problem when playing Full Screen.
when I quit the game I unselect full screen and the sortie button work perfectly after.

To resume to play full screen without the crash, I follow all these steps.
1. I open the game in windows mode.
2. I go to option
3. I go on vidéos and I select full screen.

4. I play...
5. when I want to quit the game.
1. I go to option
2. I go to video and unselect full screen
3. I press sortie and it work perfectly.


I hope it will help to solve this full screen bug.

Mac / Re: Fullscreen startup crash on 2.4-Dev OSX10.6.7

HI, I'm playing this game since 2.2 and 2.4 is great.
I have following bugs to report.
1. At start-up the game crash one time every 2 attempts (always the first attempt.) (This bug wasn't present on the 2.2)
2. To quit the game I have to press 2 time the Quit anyway button to close the game.(This bug wasn't present on the 2.2)
3. On the Ovnipedia, the mele-weapon's statistics are missing. (Theses data were present on the 2.2)
4. Wen a rechearch succeed we don't received any more the recherch mail (it was great on the 2.2 for the ambiance)

5. the missions on the 2.4 are less visible on the map

French translation is perfect good job.

I link now the error report I received when I try to launch the game.
