So failed again to get this to work so thought - o look they have openXcom maybe I'll have more joy with that .. Nope.

Failed to load with the message = make sure xcom is in the data subfolder. Much time latter searching forums and trying to figure out what the hell I'm meant to do decide to bitch on the forum. Have to creat another account to post on the openxcom forum so i'm bitching here instead.

If it doesn't work take down the links stop wasting so much of peoples time for fucks sake I could of been on reddit.

Ok so I downloaded it and ....  You cannot open application UFOAI because it is not supported on this type of mac (intel macbook running snow leopard). And I now have the UFOAI image as one of my places, just under the applications folder, and can't for the life of me remove it. Cheers guys.

Please just put a link up to let me play the game. If you can't do that take the current links down. I have a mac full of crap as it is. As OP said needs to be noob friendly just a simple click and go.

Still trying to get some kind of X-com game to work on my mac. So if I download the above file thats a working version of the game? I don't get computers. All I have the ability todo is click and play. Is that what the above link does? No compiling or having to save stuff into bin/data folders or edit subfolders etc etc...?

Not sure if this is the wright thread. Trying to get this game working on my mac - first link crashed on opening - I see on here that it is a know issue (Why's the link still up then???) I saw there was another version which was supposed to work - 2.4 but just said this - You can’t open the application “UFOAI” because it’s not supported on this type of Mac.

I'm runnning 10.6.6 on an intel macbook.

Does adding that file cif thingy help? if so can someone do a complete idiots guide to doing that as I don't have the first clue where to start doing something like that.

If not any updates?

 - feel that at the very top of the mac forum an announcement / info about current problems might help!?
