Bugs in stable version (2.5) / Combat levels and character textures have red flicker / glow

So loving the game, but for me all the characters and many combat level textures are bathed in a red / pink color. The weapons and ships partially have it - as they rotate around, different facets of them gain and then lose the red/pink color. It's been this way ever since I installed. In the attached screenshot you can see the characters are pink, and part of the walls, ground, chair, etc. When I move the view around, more/less of the ground/walls turn pink.

I tried searching to see if anyone else had a red/pink bug but didn't find anything...

I'm using stable 2.5, downloaded it from this website. Using Windows 7 Home on a laptop, an intel graphics card.
