more people means longer missions. and some missions now are already very long - maybe too long. for turn based its hard to have 100+ troops. mission could take 2 days.

for sidearms... if you have devoted medic he can use sidearm and medikit. in this case adding medic skill for better medikit use and special medic class would be good. also you can use granadeer. one hand granade (smoke ore any other) other hand hand gun. xenonauts got this shield for aditional protection. shield + sidearm. interesting tactics.

I would be more than happy to remove the retry ability but we got too much "complains" from ppl still believe they have infinite lives so we came to a compromise with the battle will always be a bit different on each retry. Cheating on worker/scientist salary is just pitiable.

what about if we could get option to choose our starting position and not get it random?
anyway game that forces you with one way of playing it is bad game. if i want to play as someone with infinite lives wha are you to say no you cant. game wasnt ment to be played like this.
im happy to play a game where i dont loose any soliders. if i have to repeat mission i will. its my way of playing game and i enjoy it.

smoke granades are great for open areas. but in some maps arent so good. maps like manison where you have to go in house to hunt all aliens. its would be close to imposible to have enough smoke since map is big. lots of coridors.
but on same maps with no cover the only way to win are smoke granades.

yes game does have its problems, but you have to understand somebody have to make it better. it there is nobody to contibute nothing will change.


so i have destroyed 200 ufos, win ~ 180 missions and i have 4700000 cash. never had any money problems but i have so much cash that its a little absurde. 5 bases... we could sell alien bodies. we dont need 300 dead aliens. amybe some unviersities and goverments would like to make some tests... but than again you have less dead aliens from start when you need more cash.

maybe you could ask your donors for more cash when you are low on it. if your preformance is good. maybe sometimes they would also send you interceptor if you lost one if your preformance is good. sending you ammo, weapons...

you can work with any program you wish. i use blender. you just need to export to md2 file when you are finished (quake 2 engine). we have import/export script for blender.

well we cant make all dropships faster than alien ships ;D
and flying so low... its hard to go supersonic on lower altitudes.

baisicly having this vacuum engine with some super batteries would be good idea. onboard AI could work with weapons and asisting pilot. so one pilot is enough. about UGVs... not sure if light dropship is intended to cary ony of those anyway. but heavier (raptor/herakles) should carry some of them.

and we could say weapons (one light) is in internal bay. this way we can have different light weapons and we dont need to show them.

those are alien engines. they are just inside aircraft rather outside. i want it to make somehow edgy with triangle body and wings similar like existing dragon. its not very good and it does needs lots of work. someday maybe...

game was set in 1950s i think. and than changed to 2080s. so we have really 1970s looking cars and weapons...
for models blender is good. + script for exporting to .md2 files.
weapons are... http://ufoai.org/wiki/Contribute try to look here for details. i think its 100-200 polys textures 256x256. but im not 100% sure.

i think the story is that military is not really needed in 2080. so all weapons are old. more than new weapons maybe new civilian models like cars/trucks/aircraft (we dont have aircraft map yet). new houses.

+1 for suppresson fire
but not to overpower it make full auto less acurate. so this would be really just for suppressing enemies. maybe even prevent reaction fire. so if you flank it with suppression fire you could than shoot it in fron with no fear od RF.

i think you need smoke granades. dont rush in to new weapons. smoke granades are excelent protections. and they are cheap. disasemble ufos, sell parts, sell extra plasma weapons and ammo. sell all but one ufo armours. you dont really need 4 workshops so early in game.

never had any finacial problems in game...

as soon i had particle weapons for aircraft i started using saracen. no problem with scout/fighter. for harvester... dragon/sam site/wait till it lands.

well TUs are going up slowly. my top troops have 37-38 TUs after more than 50 missions. its true i keep distance from aliens so they walk less, but still. its very hard to have more than 40TUs.

you cant go up or down in stairway and there are some inaccessible areas in map. both is marked with red. while stairs are always problem that inacessible are i noticed for the first time.
