Feature Requests / id tech 4 engine

Is there any chance to port the game to use the id Tech 4 engine? As I know the ufoai uses id Tech 2 engine, but now the  id Tech 4 is also under GPL. I don't know how big task it is, I afraid it's big enough... And I also don't know id Tech 4 engine able to add any to ufoai or not. I just guess it can be nicer with the new engine.
