Discussion / can't fight back?

I'm a Chinese player. I like xcom series games very much! Thank you for providing such a great game! I have a question. I remember in UFO1 and TFTD, if you keep TU for a soldier,  the soldier can fight back automatically when an alien appear. It seems that current version hasn't such function. Am I right? If so, hope to see the fuction in the next version.
