Bugs prior to release 2.3 / R27464 - Shotgun full auto mode

When I try to use shotgun full auto mode I have something like this:



Target is always shown as "out of range" (red cross). Line of shot is always "blocked" (red). Chances to hit are in the last line of long text.

Most surprisingly, I can shoot and its deadly...

I can't reach 1st floor. Switching the view one level higher doesn't help.

My soldier is wielding grenade launcher, shotgun is linked, however. Shooting menu consist only of two possibilities: Single Shot and 3-Round Burst:





And shot itself is typical to shotgun (including sounds):





It had happened also a few times before, so that behaviour is not a result of the recent updates.

Actor "A" without TU was chosen. I wanted to click on actor "B". however, I missed and I clicked one tile too far.

What should happen: nothing.
What happened: kick with the message:

ufo: src/common/cmodel.c:2026: Grid_MoveLength: Assertion `to[2] < 8' failed.

Tile was at the same level, 1/4 map away from current actor.

I won't be able to reproduce it easily, though.


I encountered also another problem. It ends with a different error code and shows up without any assertions. It happens once per two played maps so very often. I try to move an actor and the game suddenly crashes.

I load old game - UFO is on geoscape. I send my fighters, they destroy UFO. I send troops to the crash site. "Enter mission" doesn't work - returns me to geoscape with my ship over crash site. Return information:

It doesn't read the map.
