Windows / Why does the game keep crashing?

I can not play the game because it crashes when I click on "Start campaign". How do I fix this? Please help! Thank you!

I am playing "ufoai-2.3.1-win32". I am on Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2, 32bit, and using a HP Compaq Presario A940NR Notebook PC. Also, I use Norton antivirus thru Comcast/Xfinity. Thank you!

If it helps, I am on an HP Compaq Presario A940NR Notebook PC. I was able to download and install the game on my HTC Evo phone w/o a problem. However, the screen is far too small to actually play it on there.

Hi. I have Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2, 32bit. I have moderate computer knowledge, but can not, for the the life of me, figure out how to install this frickin' game. I have downloaded the zip file a couple of times. One file is called "ufoai-2.3.1-mappack.zip", and the other is "ufoai-2.3.1-source.tar.bz2". I do not have access to Winzip. I downloaded and installed "7-Zip", and I seem to be able to unzip the files, but then I am lost. WTF? It seems super complicated and difficult to install this game. How is a non-computer genius supposed to even try this game? Help! Please! I'm going nuts here with frustration!
