Hello Recently reinstalled the game and installed the mapper.
fixed missing textures for UFORadient, But now I'm missing entities.
um, yeah...
I did extract 0ufo.pk3 but that didn't seem to work.

Hello and welcome.
In order to help, you would really need to describe the problem in more detail. Left guessing I´d say - The 'entities'-tab will be empty until you select an entity. After selecting one, it fills up wit the relevant values. To create an entity, use the context menu (right-click the mouse in one of the 2D windows (X/Y-, X/Z- or Y/Z-view) and choose 'Create entity'.
Hope that helps.

nope no entites in create an entity.
Okay this pops up when I start:
Parsing of entities definition file failed, returned error was ED_Type2Constant: type string not recognised: "V_BOOL"
the create entity window is blank.

What game version are you using on what OS? And what version of UFORadiant is it/where did you dl it?
I might be wrong, but if Radiant fails to parse the games script files, there might be some version conflict.

I have UFO Radiant 1.6
And UFO AI: 2.5
Edit: Windows 8
-
So you downloaded the 2.5 installer for windows from our download page. And also the separate installer for Radiant. What build date is that (Help->About)? And it correctly installed into the UFOAI dir (like C:/ufoai/radiant)?
For further investigation we would also need the log. This should be in a radiant folder bear the savegames, see http://ufoai.org/wiki/FAQ#General.
-
build date: April 21, 2012
build date in log: April 14, 2014
It was correctly installed.
Edit: wrong Radiant log sent.
sent the other
-
From the log it seems, UFOAI is located in C:/Program Files (x86)/UFOAI-2.5, while Radiant is in C:/Program Files (x86)/UFORadiant-1.6.0, whereas imo it would need to be located in C:/Program Files (x86)/UFOAI-2.5/UFORadiant-1.6.0. Maybe it is even required to be C:/Program Files (x86)/UFOAI-2.5/radiant, but not sure about that.
You could try to create a folder named 'radiant' in C:/Program Files (x86)/UFOAI-2.5/ and copy/paste the content of C:/Program Files (x86)/UFORadiant-1.6.0 there. Afterwards, line five of the log should read "XMLRegistry: Importing XML file: C:/Program Files (x86)/UFOAI-2.5/radiant/user.xml"
I am not familiar witht that kind of stuff, but I think Radiant looks for the script files using a relative path (like ".../base/ufos"), not an absolute one. So it needs to be located exactly in the ufoai main dir.
-
I ended up sending wrong radiant file.
I ended sending up the other one.
it's called radient2.log because I renamed it to differentiate.
-
So, which is the correct one? radiant.log seems truncated (shows only like ten lines), radiant2.log shows Radiant located in an invalid dir.
-
you know what... I think it is best If I don't map this game...
Funny enough I do Have experience mapmaking.
it supposed to be radiant2, But I will send the latest one any.
-
Did you ever read the answers I gave? In this (http://ufoai.org/forum/index.php/topic,8872.msg64030.html#msg64030) post I already told you, the radiant dir needs to be located within the UFOAI main dir. If you installed from the win installer, there will already be a - not working - version. Copy your working radiant.exe there it it will do, hopefully.
Cheers.

I did that and... nothing...
Doesn't matter anymore...
I'm just going to play the game...
Note: gtkradiant and it's forks have different issues running in my computer (tried Warsow too).
I will just accept that.
Anyway I map in Source engine.

I know I'm replying to an old topic, but maybe it could be useful for any other people with same problem.
I got the same problem as ConsUme, but managed to work with some missing features for some time... until I compiled UfoRadiant from source. The problem is the link for UfoRadiant (for windows) in http://ufoai.org/wiki/Download (http://ufoai.org/wiki/Download) points to a very old version (2012).
