This is part 2 of our little poll. Do NOT compare the options above to the ones in the first poll. There will be a final run.

I voted for AI, though.. none of those things really suck. I've gotten too used to 2.5 ui and haven't yet tried out the new one so can't comment on that, same thing with ugvs - they haven't been around and this is how I've gotten used to playing this game... though I do remember missing them when I first played, with xcom 1 in my mind.

AI doesn't seem as bad now as it was a couple versions ago, especially with the increased difficulty (which has an impact, when it was easier the stupidity was underscored) . I played a lot of missions yesterday and thought of this with fear, when or if someone comes up with a proper AI capable of realizing that a puff of smoke is hiding my entire squad I'd be lucky to win one mission in this game =)

I put AI as well...for the same reasons as Kurja. I've been playing 2.6 (compiling from the GIT) and love the new UI at first I found it confusing and difficult to find stuff but quickly got used to it. Recently I went back to look at 2.5 and found the old UI clunky, chunky and a little ugly (most noticable actually in 2.6 when you suddenly come across some of the old UI like in the hospital if you click on a soldier you get the old stat panel).

Gonna go for the AI - though it does seem a little dumb at times, it does kind of fit the whole "brute force hive mind individual is meaningless" approach.

I put in AI too. One may say that rhino approach to tactics aliens use is justified given their numerical and technological superiority, but it gets boring when you can predict their moves with a margin of error no greater than 1-2 squares. Also, they show profound lack of teamwork, which contradicts lore.

I must go with UGVs. Unit variety and scale feel too limited without vehicles. Even with the assortment of light arms you can outfit your soldiers with, after a dozen missions or so, all the room clearing becomes tedious.

I imagine UGVs dominating the open spaces of a map while cover is dominated more by infantry, with an advantage held in one area helping the take over of the other. Like vehicles providing covering fire for infantry when they run from one building to the next across a field. Or infantry ambushing from cover a hostile vehicle that had chased an outclassed friendly vehicle around a blind corner.
