Isn't it too much faces for a very small object?
Title: Re: New plant models by replacing
Post by: headdie on May 13, 2012, 03:17:48 pm
each leaf is 4 faces and each flower head is 1 face and nothing for the stem so 23 faces in total

I do not think many are poly. should be less than the previous. The flowers are not hexagonal as the previous square. Thus, less triangles, polygons Less! Ok
But I have increased in this model of palm.

Great, but palm_a was animated before...
Could you add some frame-based animations also ?

it would also be cool if you could make the textures power of two - because otherwise we have scaling artifacts

Sorry for the lack I got a job in his hands, and has priority, plus I'm learning to use blender (great program, not at all easy to use.) We feel in a week!   ;)

Blender can be a pain to learn, but it's worth it (well I would say that seeing as it is the program i use  ;) )

@ headdie you're right, but also has major limitations ... a bad implementation of symmetry for example ... then from version 2.5 have eliminated many export formats ... what a great shit eliminate its best advantage. Blender developers are idiots. Not is made. >:(

But not here to discuss this ...  ::)

I finally completed the series of plants for replacement. I hope you like them I also put in "Tropic04" the texture to Tropic02, Tropic03 ... sorry I had forgotten.
And finally a beautiful large tropical plant "vegi_tropical1_tropical1"

Until next time ...  ;D

I can see no problem in having two plants looking similar in game. Thats better than having not enough diversity imo.

Ok, I've redone anyway, if use them both. maybe change name to one of the two. ;) Also because from my point of view this is nicer.
