That's actually not a bad idea - we could use an "easter egg" or two in the game.  Heck, look at VLC media player - the last few days it has a custom icon when running.

If you really wanted to go overboard, not a serious suggestion, but just an idea - perhaps around the 24th-25th of Dec in each in-game year a sled pulled by reindeer could appear on the geoscape, flying high.

Of course then there would be the question of what it would do if it came near a UFO.  (Does Santa pack an anti-alien plasma rifle, for the obnoxiously bad people on his list?  I forget exactly how the song and story goes...)

More seriously, that type of stuff would make an interesting mod for the game.

A while ago i make some vegetation, if you like it, I can convert it
to MD3 format ( because they using single planes  ).

yes - please convert them - vegetation is something we always need. they are looking beautiful - let's see how they look in-game.

Yeah, they look good. Don't forget to try and "cut" them into different md3s for the different levels. I find just splitting the leaves from the trunk and branches is often enough.

Here the link to the vegetation models.

I think the transparency is OK in the textures, cant check it very well because C4D is working with alpha textures for
the transparency.

There are 8 models and the formats are :

The C4D sources, .obj and MD3 format.

Look what you can do with it.

I think they are in Data_Source already. Please check that before adding them to Master (i think there was a reason Why Not ever Model was added to Master)

Those four objects cause automatic compile failure on Muton's utility. Ever y time I try, I get four compile errors (see here (http://ufoai.ninex.info/forum/index.php?topic=5975.0)). I don't know for absolutely certain, but I bet the errors stem from these, since the number or errors and number of objects match.

Sorry, I was not aware of that as switching the branch to data_source produces strange errors here...

I wanted to use those on various maps, that is why I added them to master.

Unfortunately importing .md3s seems to be buggy, not only in UFORadiant, but also in UFO-AI, so maybe I should revert this commit :P

Looks like we still have the draw order problem with the palm tree in the middle.

And we should do something with ground texture. It is really became boring.

Why? I love the new ground texture.  :o

not ground texture but texture of ground. The ground is very flat and monotonous. Even for desert.
