"Today, after two years of difficult negotiations, all three forces have finally signed the peace contract. More tonight at eleven." Static.
This sound effect is in a constant loop, and is not affected by the volume adjustments for sound effects or music. This is my first post, so I don't know what to post or if there's an easier way: I just posted the loaded items from the console.
I'm running the latest dev build in the Windows forum for today.

That particular sound effect is really annoying and is attached to one of the farm buildings that never has any aliens inside it anyway (unless they walk in). If you stay two tiles away from its walls, you don't get it.
There are a couple of other effects that have an effect like that, the windmills and fire on the bridge map, for example, if you walk a soldier close to them, they keep repeating even when you switch to another soldier, but nothing is as aggravating as the one you made this thread about.
I don't know if anything can be done about them by adding some kind of mute-with-distance function or something. I've learned the hard way to avoid them on battlescape.

Afaik all the hurtsound, footstep sound & ambient-sound stuff is still heavy work-in-progress, I will look what I can do to help in this field in the near future...
@ least ambient sounds started working & that is a big progress ;)

Please continue reporting sound problems like this in this thread, as it would be a great help for us to easily check those out in detail later & to not have to search bugs first...
Please also take care if you can hear hurtsounds & deathsounds from all of the aliens, civilians (should rather not happen when you play ;)) & aliens (you should here that often) & report here also if you find problems.
Thanks to all the bug-finders & testers for the help.
