does anyone know what this is? its spamming the console.
-
which var?
-
you should have an error message before, when it want to compile the "bound" program
Can we disable program which not compile, instead of spamming the console?
-
well i aqquired the installation package from the development thread and the copy was a release mode installation if that helps i didn't received any error messages when installing.
-
Your driver compile shader program at runtime, not when you install the prog.
before -> i mean on the console, before the spam.
-
don't remember that, i was running a intel x3100 gma so no shaders that i know of.
-
i has the same thing:
R_ProgramVariable: "GLOWSCALE" - No program bound. (src/client/renderer/r_state.c: line 566)
there is a LOT of this string in ~/.xsession-errors file (when the game is launched using KDE menu icon). Shaders a turned on.
"a LOT" - means that .xsession-errors becames 3-5-10 and more gigabytes after 10-20 minutes of playing, untill it eats all free space in /home.
i'm using latest revision from svn, 2.3 branch (r30468).
Ubuntu linux 9.10.
NVidia GeForce 7600, proprietary NVidia's drivers.

I think this should be fixed in the latest version in the 2.3 branch, but I'll disable that debug output entirely for the release version just in case.
-
i've already done that (converted the console output to Com_DPrintf - so no more flooding
