When trying to start any battle, I get the screenshot screen, then the game exits to desktop.

Aaand??? How should we find out the problem from that verbose description??

system is xp pro eng sp3
graphic is nvidia 8800 gts 512
cpu is intel quad 6600 3 gb ram directx mar 2009, all updates and latest drivers
version is ufoai-2.3-dev-win32-24294 clean install
Bug appears every time i try enter the ufo site (i have a save game just before the situation but also appear in the first time i go to the ufo site after start a new game).

Your ufoconsole log says nothing. In case of crashes (like segfaults) you should run the game from commandline and copy the end of the output from there (if a program get closed by the OS it won't write nice logs on exit) a better way would be to run from debugger and collect more info (backtrace).

Just so you know, saved games are generally not compatible between game revisions - if a save works after updating the game consider yourself lucky, because usually they don't...

Btw, i noticed the save game did not break so far since 23000+++ revision.... wow. Well done.
But under wat circumstances will save game break btw?

so this affects combat also?
I already had the problem that I couldn't load a savegame after an update; but I didn't expect getting in trouble later on when it DID load...

Actually, i am not too sure abt tat.
But previously, i did have issues with certain revisions where save games cannot load.
Then when it did load, it seemed to have some issues.
Thats why i restarted a new game (for like more than 20 30 times already). lol......
On a serious note, if we want to track a certain bug, we should verify it thru a new game, and probably be like me - keeping an old game and loading it to test.....
afterall, maps should not be affected by the game - since weapons and stats of soldiers are not changed....

Okie, as of R24322, here's some add on to his log:
1) Battlescape cannot be "RETRY" when u press the ESC key and clicking it - would result in game hang and u would need to force shutdown app.
2) Battlescape can crash halfway in battle.... not much time to provide a backtrace..... but will see if there's anyone who can do the backtrace b4 i do....
Otherwise, i have tested sniper rifle, rocket launcher (with AP rounds), assault rifle, laser rifle all works so far. They shoots enemies. I even managed to fire a rocket and kill an alien. Though 3 rounds into game, i am forced to ALT+CTRL+DEL (ACD) force shutdown app, as it crashed back to geoscape 1/2way into battle and hangs there..... (Console still there though.)
I did a clean compile of maps and codes in CB. Did a clean pk3 zipped up too...... (This is after Mattn's done with some of his bsp issues as of This Thread (http://ufoai.ninex.info/forum/index.php?topic=3534.msg25797#msg25797).

Looks like the crash is related to pathfinding. Unfortunately, both logs come from an RMA, so they don't help us much. Did anybody get that crash on a non-RMA map or could try to get it ?
On a sidenote: does anyone know what we need to do to get rid of those
