Title: 2.2 (10-19-07) glitch
Post by: TheFatSandRat on October 25, 2007, 11:39:26 pm
I am playing on Vista, and when I try to start the game, it only goes into a blank red screen. I have tried running it in compatibility/administrator/safe mode, and it doesn't work. I have used cRsync and created/executed map.bat. Do I need another file to get this to work?

It may be a driver issue. Also, which version of the game are you using? If it's a recent version, it may just be broken on Vista.

It's the executable on mattn.ninex.
And I dunno if it's drivers or not; I'll update and check, but I think my drivers are brand new.

I run on Vista Ultimate x64, with Aero.  Seems to work for me with build from 10/10/2007 and the following start-up options:  +set vid_fullscreen 1 + set snd_init 1 +set gl_mode 8

Same problem.  Aero is disabled to begin with as this laptop can't handle it.

Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook.
Windows: Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit
Memory (RAM): 1918 MB
CPU: AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56
Display Adapters: ATI Radeon Xpress 1150

Updated my ATI drivers to the latest. No joy.

Very sorry for the necro.
On the newest version, after updating my drivers and doing everything suggested in this thread, this still does not work :/.
However, the sound works, and seems to be good quality.
I guess that's the trade-off, huh.
