Title: Back to this game after a couple of years

I recently downloaded the most recent version after a couple years not playing, what happened to laser weapons? I didn't get the handheld ones, only the ones mounted on planes and for my base.

Oh I"m an idiot.  >:(

I mean't that back in the old days, the laser weapon research was available one research away,.

They are available only later on now. You need to acquire an alien body armor from the battle field and research it.
