Title: Ubuntu Save Game Account
Post by: AlienOpposition on October 28, 2014, 10:01:28 pm
Hello,

I tried to find an answer to this question using Google, the FAQ, etc, but I am not able to find an answer.

When I try to save a game, I can enter the name, then there is a button showing an arrow pointing upwards to the right. When hitting it, a window pops up asking me for a username and password. The username is prepopulated with my Ubuntu user.

What is the reason for this save game user/password?

Which user/password combination am I supposed to use there?

Thank you very much.

Kind Regards

i (and welcome to the forums)

i must say  that this is something that has proved to be confusing... once you enter a name and hit enter your game is saved, the new buttons showing allow you to upload a saved game to our server — which is what you have been accidentally trying (and requires your username and password for this very forum) — or delete the saved game

So in short just enter a name and hit enter, your game saved, there's no need to hit any buttons (unless you really want to try said feature, but right now the only service provided is private upload and download of saves)

Hello Dark Rain,

thank you very much, hitting enter works like a charm. This screen is indeed confusing...

Cheers
