Title: Geoscape map doesn't show

I just got UFO: AI for my Windows XP box but once I get past the intro cutscene and get into the game, I can't see the map in the Geoscape. Can anyone tell me what's going wrong?

Trying going to Options > Video settings and setting your shaders to Disabled/Off.
