After the alien turn, my troops did not get full TU's and were unable to move or turn with the remaining time units. Reaction fire could not be turned on or off. Clicking end turn button had no effect. Inventories, stats etc were accessible, and I was able to quit normally.
-
Same thing happened to me, also noticed this with regards to one of my soldier's stats.

I've just got something similar: alien turn didn't finish after several minutes, though I was able to quit normally.
Also, some soldier stats were through the roof.

While i don't mind having dedicated tank in team, his mental level is disturbing.
I run debian 6 amd64, game is compiled from sources.

Maybe the problem related with the skills of the soldiers. With a rookie team here is no freeze, but with a full veteran unit always freezes after the first or second turn.
-
=:-I It freezes with the rookie team, too.
The UFO process is running, the HD LED is flashing, the battlescape interface is working, the "wrench" menu too, but the enemy's turn never ends. The ufoconsole.log always truncated, in various positions. After Abort, Retry, or Exit commands there is a total freeze.
-
I had the same (?) happen just yesterday, alien turn never ended but I was able to quit normally.
-
Perhaps a problem with stunned civilians? In the same mission if I don't stun civilians, there is no freeze.
-
and there is a freeze if you stun a civ?
-
not in my case
-
was maybe one of the aliens standing on a dead soldier? or one of the aliens was stunned over another actor? or stunned at all?
-
I was not using any stun weapons, is it possible to get an alien stunned without?
-
and there is a freeze if you stun a civ?
Yes, _after_ I stunned them, somewhere in the next alien turns. But days since no stun, there were no freezes.

In my case here is no multiplayer game, but yes, sometimes I see aliens standing over civs stunned by me, and in the log, they shot and kill them. But some other frozen missions there was no possibility to stand on them or even see them by aliens.

Im having a bug, which seems to be related. Somehow somewhen in a mission my controls seem to get all weird. If I am ordering a trooper to move, he will do nothing, but once I give the next soldier a command, the earlier command will be executed, still not the latest one. I did not notice anything weird with my soldiers stats though. Still these problems only began to appear after some progress within the campaign (it's almost 1 year in game time now)
