Title: Gamma?

I've been playing since 2.2, and am now on 2.3. One of the more annoying things though, is having to manually crank up the gamma when I start a mission (from the default to just over half of the bar) and re-adjust it to the default so the geoscape looks good again. Even the daytime missions are too dark at the default gamma level. Raising the default gamma level of the missions would be a nice fix for 2.4.

which hardware and os are you on?

NVIDIA 9800GT. Dual booting Windows XP SP3 and OpenSUSE 11.3, both 32-bit. I have the exact same issue in both OSes. I had the same issue with 2.2 in both OSes (well, older versions of OpenSUSE) and my old 6600GT.
