hey ppl just come across this and downloaded it but cant seem to get it to run..
downloaded
vers: ufoai-2.2.1-win32
installed etc but when i go to run it console comes up then it flicks to another screen which shuts down and then console freeze on
---- sound initialization ----
sdl_mixer version 1.2.8
...audio rate 4000
...audio channels 2
...driver: 'dsound'
console loads to this point then just stops responding
i am running vista 32 and a hd4670
anyhelp would be great thanks =)

Please try and run the game again.
The as and when it doesn't work, please navigate to the logfile located at: C:\Users\[USER NAME]\AppData\Roaming\UFOAI\2.2.1\base, and attach a copy of it to this thread so that people can take a closer look to see what might be causing the problem.

Sorry, I forgot to tell you the filename is ufoconsole.txt which is the logfile you need to attach.

If the problem is the sound system you can disable it by starting the game with +set snd_init 0 parameter AFAIK.

thnx for the reply. had a look at the txt file u said but even if i start the game it doesnt put anything in the txt file it pretty much loads the consoles flicks to a 2nd screen as if the game is about to load then closes and the console freezes and i pretty much have to end task it to close =\

thats all the info i can give because the console locks i can click copy or quit soz
