I have 2.2.1 the game runs, but i can not see the geoscape or when im equipting the craft i can only see pieces of the craft and actors, also i can not see items. I have set windows to basic and set it to 16bit color and even messed with the resolution but nothing fixed it. I know a little bit about computers but not enough it seems to get this to work. I have read the forums but did not find anything that would help, if i missed something or if someone has another idea, please help.

Have you tried updating Vista and your graphic card drivers already ?

I dont think so. How do i update Vista, and what will change if i do?
As far as the graphics card i dont know what kind it is, im using a Gateway laptop MT6707

Hi,

I've some problems too.
First, i can't purchase/build/research UGVs. They only appear in the Ufopedia.
Then, no soldier, after 4 ingame-months, gain any level/exp./grade...

I use a vista ultimate 64bit version.

Do you have any idea about this bug's?

You have a "Driver Download" link on it. Download your graphic card driver and install it.

About Vista, it should propose you automatic updates (Windows Update). Did you noticed that somtimes when you shutdown your laptop it installs updates ?

thanks for the help, i suppose i could have searched for it myself. As far as the automatic updates go, i do that all the time.

Retry when you'll have your graphic driver updated.
If it do not work, perhaps give a try to a 2.3 dev binary snapshot. You'll find a recent thread about this in this forum.

No it did not work. After I instaled the update, it almost crashed my laptop. Not sure why oh well. What is 2.3 dev binary snapshot?

I was about to post about this too.  Are UGVs still in game?  I can't find them in the equipment list.  Does one need to research or produce them?

I think UGVs are not in 2.2.1.

there may be a misleading icon.
