Couldnt find it listed anywhere else so am reporting it. I like to buy all the soldiers that are somewhat useful...unfortunately once you fill up the screen you can no longer see any of the others in your employ...including ones that are in my dropship. So if one is injured i can't even remove him withour releasing and rehiring the troops.
-
do you have a mousewheel?
http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/FAQ#Gameplay
-
yeah....doesnt seem to do anything on the soldier list and there are no arrows to click...this is on the assign crew page not the buy page
-
which version are you using?
please post a savegame (I do not have any advanced ones with a lot of soldiers in lying around).
-
2.2.1....not sure how to post a savegame.
-
I have the same problem, using version 2.2.1 on Linux:
I hired more than 20 soldiers, but the Assign soldiers to aircraft list only shows the first 19.
I have no possibility to scroll down on that list.
In the attachment you find my savegame.
Take a look at the european base.

using your savegame, i can't get scrolling to work either (using touchpad on laptop under vista)
i am sure that hovering over the list with the pointer works on my desktop (under xp) with a mousewheel.
just going to try something else...
-
Mousewheel I also tried, no success.
Just to make sure:
Could there be a reason why I have only those 19 soldiers (and therefore cannot scroll), although I hired more!?
-
you probably have more.
i can't work it out either.
-
That's bad :(
I will start a new game and try to get to the point of having more than 19 soldiers
and will see if the same issue occurs again.
-
don't do that.
i am sure it is just a command binding thing
see the keys.cfg
-
maybe pgup pgdn or arrow keys?
-
I tried virtually ANY key on my keyboard :-)
Where should the keys.cfg be?
As I run linux,
I suppose it should be in /home/andreas/.ufoai/2.2.1/base
Here is the excerpt from the startup of ufoai, confirming that it uses that directory:
using /home/andreas/.ufoai/2.2.1/base for writing
Adding game dir: /home/andreas/.ufoai/2.2.1/base
execing default.cfg
execing config.cfg
execing keys.cfg
However, there is no keys.cfg, only the config.cfg.
Maybe default keys don't work properly!?
If you got a working keys.cfg... could you can send it to me for a test.
Or where do I find one!?
btw: Thanx for the help
-
ah, of course.
i have never scrolled this screen pane.
(i had help on irc to remember).
just unhire some. you can rehire them, i am fairly sure.
-
Ok, thanx for the hint...
but that is not really the optimal solution....
but yes, good workaround.
Thanx
