Title: Crashes Dev 2.3 @ Debian Testing
Post by: fjin on April 20, 2008, 09:58:25 am
Just before the weekend compiled game.
Difficulty: Hard.
In very beginning of the game, no any missions done, no UFO's seen.

Equipping the soldiers screen.
Crashes when putting IR Goggles to head slot.

Edit begins :
I managed to assign IR Goggles, when clicked right mouse button, but picture wasn't IR Goggles, but Soldier's primary weapon ( Rocket Launcher ).
Still, dragging IR Goggles with Left button, game crashes.

I started game from terminal windows, so I got some debug info to screen - I have locale: fi_FI@euro
ufo: src/client/menu/m_inventory.c:424: MN_DrawContainerNode: Assert-makro "item" ei pid? paikkaansa.
Wrote keys.cfg
Error: Received signal 6.

I guess
Assert-makro "item" ei pid? paikkaansa.
will be translated.
Assert-macro "item" is not correct.

Buying aircraft equipment
Crash instantly when buying:
* Targetting computer
* ECM system
I can buy and sell other equipment fine.

Settings doesn't stay. I have to always setup 3D geo, sound (all to just minimal) , and screen resolutions (1280x1024) to my liking.
By editing base/config.cfg file I was able to keep sound levels minimal and 3D Geo checked. Screen window size setting goes to 1024x786 even if I have in there
set vid_height "1024"
set vid_width "1280"

After one no-any-incidents month, I got opportunity to buy Power Armour - Clicking it in shop crashes the game instantly - no error message text seen in console where I started the game.

This should be fixed in current trunk.

Ok, doing update&compile, lets see what happens.
... Yep, that's fixed.
