I have installed the UFO: Ai 2.0 RC3 and like RC2, I dont have any sound. Nothing.
For a feature, why do we have to set reaction on and off? And why we have to pay TUs to that? I dont see a reason for that becouse a soldier is allways prepared to respond any kind of enimies that he can see. My sugestion is to reactions became an automatic feature to all soldiers and to react automatically every time he has TUs to spend.

Well, maybe you don't want a soldier with one rocket left to fire at an alien coming around the corner. Maybe you want to save the ammo and use it in your own turn.
-
I think it is a nice option to prevent soldiers from automatic firing at enemies. But why does it cost TUs? This does not fit to an round based game IMHO.
-
Yes, I agree. Using TUs just to switch to reaction fire mode makes no sense.
-
Yeah, I agree with the ammo save and the rocket thing :)
So, I think it would be betther to let the reaction allways on, but with the option to individualy set it off. Most of the time you will want your soldiers reacting to aliens and to dont react will be an eception.
And about the TUs, good to know that you agree
-
TU were used for reaction fire in XCom, it was shown diferantly though.
It makes sense to me because otherwise they woud get extra time units.
Another reasion to have/turn it off is so you can move farther.
-
That isn't the issue here, though. The TUs aren't spent on firing, but on telling your soldier to go into reaction fire mode, or to go out of it.
-
I don't see if reaction-fire is on or off.
Maybe the button should have an indicator on it,
say an "R+" when it is activated.

the button should be highlighted - not sure for althud though

the button should be highlighted
it is - but it is still hard to see the difference.
