Title: Is there a package for 2.2 or only dev version?

Hey let me say that I've been playing UFO:AI 2.1.1 for a few months and it is great! I think this is the best sci-fi turn-based squad-combat game to come out in years! Really!! I've had 1 or 2 random crashes, but for a game in development it's remarkably stable (I have plenty of store-bought games that are much worse).

I looked at the forum today on the chance that there was a new version and i'm a bit confused ... is there a (Windows) package for 2.2 now? Or are people talking about the dev version when they say they're playing 2.2?

they are talking about the beta version of the new upcoming 2.2 version - you can also grab them at http://mattn.ninex.info

but keep in mind, that savegames are incompatible to 2.1.1

Ah now I see there is an .exe and I don't have to compile it (which is really a bit beyond me). Thanks for the link!

I'm gonna download it now. I used to do QA so I'll let you folks know if I find anything.
