Hi, I just found out about this project and being a great fan of the xcom series i was wondering what i could do to help.
I can make the translation to Portuguese (not brazilian portuguese) but here's the catch, i've been navigating in and out of posts and i can't understand where i can get the files to do so, or if i find them, how to work with them.
By the way i've installed the 2.1.1 version for windows and everything looks fine, just the text files missing. Could someone tell me where to find and install these files(english version)?
And just one other thing.. I know this is a ongoing project, but the campaigns, do they start always the same? The missions are always the same, over and over again? Are you trying to put the random factor like in Xcom Ufo defense?

They're... missing? Can you explain exactly which text files you're trying to find? The developers have decided on using the .po/.mo format (PoEdit) for our translated files. It's freeware, which is nice.

The short form... the first map is always the same, it's a good 'warmup' map. After that there is randomization, however, in 2.1.1, intercepts aren't working yet and random map builds aren't included. Those are both in development. However, if you look at the wiki, look for missions.ufo and campaign.ufo for more information on how it's prepared.
As to complete randomness of events, there's a campaign redesign in proposal, but there's a lot of other work currently being taken care of for straight game mechanics that need implementation first.

Sorry to bother you again.. When i said the text files are missing i didn't mean it.. i found them but just don't know how to implement them into the game.. I'm a real newbie.. Just found out about this project like 3 or 4 days ago..
Can any of you guys reply?
