this will speed up release, the game is good. Help vote, there is a competitor - some sort of programm :(
voting need an account in Twitter.
Sourceforge has nominated us alongside eight other projects to be their Project of the Month for December. If we win we'll get a prominent link on their front page.
Vote today (http://twtpoll.com/l2cil8) to help us attract more interest from players and developers. And spread the word so others will vote.

Jstock actually looks pretty awesome if you are in to that sort of thing. I wouldn't begrudge them winning but obviously I'm favoring UFO AI.
Honestly I think it's good for both products to be in such an intense competition and leave the rest so far behind. The score's been nearly evenly tied since the poll re-opened. Whoever looses should definitely get a chance again since we're looking at two very good and very different products.

Nice poll. Unfortunately I'm not on twitter.
-
new here but I voted and reposted it on my twitter.
love the game, great throwback to XCOM...just wish the AI would not monkeystomp me on base defense missions :(
-
Thanks superxdude. We've got last-minute retweets from a few places, but we're about 20 votes behind now. We'll need a huge surge overnight to win...
-
is it legal to send tweets out to other people? Hate to spam tweets but that could push a few votes our way
-
There's nothing wrong with tweeting a message to someone, but please don't be obnoxious on our behalf.
-
not obnoxious, just asked friend who blog wow stuff to retweet...we'll see if it helps...32 hours to go
-

I've been watching the votes add up over time and I don't think there is serious fraud going on. The votes have continued slowly but steadily in an organic fashion. JStock is particularly popular in SE Asia and the developer has used his contacts among traders in Malaysia to promote the poll.

we're up six this afternoon...i've been getting a few retweets from people so that might have helped.
-
JStock also had a new release last Sunday... that's probably drawing more attention to them

209 - 185 :'(

I'm with H-Hour. Malaysia has a lot of tech savvy people and I don't think any cheating was involved.
Think of how popular JStock is and take heart in how close we game to beating them. Like I said I think whoever won both products benefited from this.
