I’m using this install release version
http://www.destructavator.com/92dl/ufoai/ufoai_2_3_win32_r30111.exe
1. when I try to turn off full screen the game shinks way to much even when mine is set to 800x600
2. When I change programs and come back the gaming screen pixels are distorted
Even after I exit the game and return it still got this weird low graphic pixel problem and requires an unsitall, install
The first 2 I can deal with
3. When I start the campaign the geoscape is just a black screen I can’t see anything
I tried placing a base then coming back but still just black
Side notes.
There used to be graphics on the ufoedpia for item I liked these and they have been removed
On the base screen when selecting your aircraft the picture is zoomed in way too close
Thanks for your help I really want to play the 2.3

You use nvidia or ati graphic-card? maybe update driver.
Disable shaders in video settings could help, if you got a older card.
you using xp or vista/windows7? try compatible mode for xp if you got vista/windows7

changing the GlSL in game options, fixed i can now see the geoscape thats works fine
however i still have the problem where it the game starts correctly the first time
but in subsequent starts the game screen shrinks to a squished 3x4 inch mini box
updated the dirvers still the same problem even after reinstall of UFO
p.s.
i watched you video Kobold, when you say reflection you means on the walls and such when the rocket was fired, it was strangely cool
i have not played a battle yet as i'm still trying to fix shrink screen problem

i tried making a new install and creating a save game, unistalling except for save game and reinstallling
but it still suffers from the mini screen problem
do you know where the save game file is
if i can't fix i might try a manual copy and paste of the save game when uniostall/install see if that helps
arghh so painful
any others suggestions anyone

Does it look normal (version 30507)? Is the ground really made of steel (?) or is it some kind of a glitch? It's hard to see anything here.

map [ufo landed]
EDIT
OK, I tried all different settings and it looks like that only with lightmap block size set to High.

Pretty sure it's not supposed to look like that.
