philosophical ;D.
But as a genuine engineer I need a hard practical example for better implementation of this theoretical model ;D

That's the problem with engineers. ;)

Over the last couple of years I've been watching this game.  Awesome, guys!  This is on par for a Meritorious Service Medal and at least the Soldier's Medal.  (LuckyLindy salutes the staff and contributors of UFO:AI.)

Is this Chaos Concept's game, or is it something B-Man is doing freelance?  I saw Chao's main credits...

I believe the XCOM franchise is owned by Take2 with a XCOM 1st person shooter being developed (Ken Levine) and a strategy XCOM being developed by Firaxis (Sid Meiers).  That is, if you believe rumors.  I know someone that I work with who has been to Firaxis' facility and "saw" a "new" XCOM  poster and he is a pretty reliable sort.  That, of course doesn't mean that it is not some sort of marketing for the XCOM bundle.

I may just being lazy, but does the actors leveling feature work, yet?  Of course, I guess you have actually keep your soldiers alive for more that two or three missions, but the aliens in the crash missions are pretty aggressive (standard).  That makes it fun!   :D

Bugs prior to release 2.3 / Re: Maploading Freeze Bug (version r26431)

I have been working around this problem by saving, exiting the game, restarting, and reloading.  The ufo maps will then load normally.  There seems to be an issue when you clear one ufo, hours or days later, go and investigate a new ufo and it will go into "non-responding" mode.  Some kind of flag?  I haven't tried the debugger, however, you probably need the report.

This one is interesting and I didn't see it posted.  Playing the standard campaign, I had my base in central united america with only enough small arms and standard armor to equip my squad.  Went to a mission in Berlin, fought successfully with one loss, and flew back to base.  Just over (what was France) I got ambushed and lost the dropship.  As I was refitting my dropship and new soldiers, I realized all of the small arms was still in storage and not lost with the lost dropship.

I would like to add, this map kept crashing my gfx card.  I am going to check my video drivers, but I don't think that's it.  This mapped seemed to lag.

I agree with the first poster, the aliens are not behaving aggressively and tend to get stuck in the harvester cockpit missions.  It will either be one or two stuck...its like the AI is turned off and the aliens are just discharging their weapons.  This gives their location away and all you have to do is walk up and blast them.

I may have missed something, but it may be related; but, I played for 4 hours last night and every mission had only 4 tahman aliens.  Never any other species (then I never really played more than 2 months of game time).  I played very easy, easy, and standard campaigns.  Does not seem to be ramdon and all of the missions were harvester missions unless I blasted a scout or a fighter.

There's the negative; the positive, I like what I see.  The renderings are beautiful.

Yeah, me too.  I had to take a little trip over the big pond to play with nasty people who hate us and I got to play 2.2.1 (and other UFO games as well as other games) and thought it was a "good start."  Last night I downloaded the lastest developers build, and I am impressed. Way to go!  UFO:AI is really starting to take the look of a professionally distributed game.  While I obviously haven't played it through, I love what I see.  Anything I could do to help, please let me know.  I am an Army civy geologist/hydrologist by trade and I may be able to add to the storyline or story arcs.  Again, my humbled thanks to the hard work that I've seen with this project (takes hat off in salute).
