Feature Requests / Aliens with human weapons?

Not sure if it is a bug...playing on stasndard level, second time around.  Last two times I shot down the harvester the distinctly Ortnok crew was armed with two sniper rifles and two SMG's.  I later found a 7.62 mm pistol and several very human issue combat knives in my inventory (which weren't there before). 

personally, this makes my life somewhat harder as my style is based on advantage of sniping from afar.  Having bad guys with sniper rifles does not help.  Have to admit, I replayed the mission when the bad guy took out one of my gals with a head shot.

All in all, it is a fun challenge, though I am not sure it fits well with the narative of the game - plenty of space ships, but shortage of plasma guns leaves aliens raidning my own supply depots at night?

Feature Requests / Research Complition

When a research project is player receives notification via mailclient.  They get taken to the list of similar messages, including completed project and proposal for new ones.  The exit from the screen is to the main base screen.

Proposal: in case of completed research prject the exit button should take the player to the Reasearch screen, since they are going there most likely, anyway. 

Not having this caused me to forget to set the next research topic a couple of times, thus missing a few days worth of work.  Little longer than that and I may have lost my scientists to alcoholism.

FAQ / Shelter Mission

Currently stuck in a shelter mission - single entrance into an underground facility, gangplank around a cargo lift with a truck on it, dorms/locker rooms/conference rooms around.

One Ortnok was on the gangplank, to the left of the gate.  Four (!?) more were having a smoke at the bottom, by the truck.  Must been smoking something really good, since they did not notice much even as they got showered by gas grenades (pain to through over the truck, those).  Two more got popped on the top level as the poor guys were getting out of the shower and locker room.  So, I count total of 7 green guys, sorta living peacefully on the base, as far as I can tell.

So, can someone tell me, please: do I look for the 8th customer or just restart the mission?

Feature Requests / research in two bases

Ok, I believe I have the bug mapped.  Have not found one in recent history, so here goes:

Moved research off the HQ base (shoulda moved Production, I know).   Transferred the eggheads, all the gear too.  Now in my HQ I decided to build a lab again, and staffed it with 10 scientists.  It won't let me start the research saying that no space available, build more labs.  It starts to look to me that there is one variable for number of lab spaces, and highest wins.  I would now need 40 lab spaces in HQ to get 10 useful lab spaces. 

PS: another small thing - in a mission I dropped a GL on the ground (to clear the building) and turn or two later it was gone!  Can't recall if I vaniched completely or if I got it back after the mission.  No biggie, I guess.  Cheap human gear!

Possibly a small bug:

When I rename troups the changes are not shown until I leave the screen and come back to it.

Sorry if it was reported already.  Is there a dedicated bug thread?

Tactics / interceptor weapons

The early combo of interceptor weapons that appears to work is a couple of ships with lots of SHIVA cannons and T20 pods, maybe an odd AA missile rack.  Is there something better, alien-based in the future?  Is it worth sprinting for?

Silly question here: how do I build another base?

In general, should there be a separate topic (or group of topics) dedicated to basic questions by newbies?
