Is it possible with our current engine to have maps with moving vehicles,
e.g. moving boat on the dam-map, or a working lift in the bunker-map ?

I think quake2 had some breakable walls and things-- in "unknown enemy" pretty much every part of the map falls victim to a rocketlauncher -- how about it for ufo-ai, would it be much work aswell?

we have func_breakables, too. but func_path and all triggers are gone. maybe someone will reimplement them for lifts and so on. but i'm not sure about this - not trivial to sync. e.g. a lift may not move until we see the lift - otherwise we would know that someone is at the lift without seeing it...
func_breakable are in - as i said - i already used them for some windows. maybe we can use them for more stuff like exploding barrels and so on. but we need particle effects for this - see the TODO list.

Yep, as hardcore player of UFO 1,2 and Apocalipse (I've spent a several years of my life on it!) I must say that UFO AI really needs brekable objects on maps, even better if everything can be destroyed...
also, where is Motion Scaner it was my favorite?!
