Works, and looks different from other items, but obviously doesn't look great.

Now, if some artist could make a replacement with a more hightech-look ...

Already in-game. Yes, a serious model would be great. Either totally alien one (then I will change the wiki description) or something simple, universal, so that both alien and human plasma-based grenades are covered by the same model. And, please, take care to make some color accents similar to other plasma weapons...
