I feel like an idiot. I don't know how to assign soldiers their individual weapons! Would you people help?

Go into your base > Aircraft > Select an aircraft that supports soldiers > Go to Soldiers tab below > Click the Equip Soldiers button that appears in the window where the aircraft is shown.

That will get you the equip window and you can drag weapons/etc. from below into the inventory panel at the top right.

Thanks. Also sometimes the game crashes. Is there a team still ironing the bugs out?

The game is in constant development. New features are always being added, existing features always being ironed out. Great. It has been years, there was some tachyon rifle and money rewards per mission when I saw that game.

Also, the Railguns are named Bolters? FOR THE EMPEROR,PURGE THE XENOS!
