Title: Lost base but didn't lose base!!

Another question.  I just lost one of my bases to an attack. All my soldiers were in the hospital and I didn't have much of a defense force. But I still have the base, it's just empty now. All buildings were destroyed but the aliens didn't keep the base or destroy it totally as you think they would do. Is this the way it is supposed to be? It doesn't seem logical that the aliens would leave a perfectly good base in enemy hands.

Yes. The base being completely destroyed is a task yet to be done. It requires some more work I suppose.
