i already like this map very much, h-hour.

the rails are too high like bayo said (and maybe a bit too wide).

if u want to use a maglev - the transrapid is great ^^.

hey. cool. i like those videos. intro/airplanes in action/airplane-introduction/story-videos. there cant be enough videos =).
i also liked ure intro-try (with the new soldier model shooting). puts much atmosphere to the game.

only the new graphical user interface is missing now to make this game not just good, also good looking. styling is very important =). the gui is the thing i miss most.

u do a great job (ok.. the coders do also a great job *g*, but here in the artwork section u can "see" huge differences ^^).

I don't really understand the story of this game in this respect. The aliens easily destroyed earth's attacks against them, with countless soldiers, aircraft, tanks, and whatnot, yet when we begin the game, 1 aircraft with earth weapons can easily shoot down UFOs, and our soldiers, with earth weapons, can easily kill aliens.
1. our soldiers are the best of the best of the best and
2. our team was the first to use a special alloy making weapons much more effective vs aliens ^^.

maybe the alines shouldnt be that overpowered in the intro. maybe the aliens have after the long journey just resources to fight one country or just a small number of simultaneous fights. thats gave our team the chance to prepare.

[i still like the idea of area 51 like in "independence day" >>> there were previous alien scouts that were found and which gave a small number of people the chance to prepare in secret. and when the game starts "our" team is not longer secret on earth. its more hiring active. dont know why they should still hide if they need all resources they could get and also aliens would knew after 1 battle that there are new enemies around.
btw. aliens dont want to bomb all our bases because they dont want to destroy all the territory they want to get. also is our airdefence better than the grounddefence ^^.]

and that one shows again: an idea needs a good presentation :).
every saurian looking creature that has many aspects from a human fits to ufo, but it shouldnt look funny. i hope more different creatures come in the game. not all organic so that u need to take just one kind of weapon with u of course.

this is looking better and better. even though i am not able to help i would like to know if its possible to change the width of the model without the need of an animationchange? that way it would be possible to have different builded bodies (hm.. as a feature the strength of the soldier is seen ^^). just dreaming :P.

hm.... there is always someone who needs "special" things and is able to buy or trade them.....

u can call that black market. each time u get quite fast quite much money (or other resources), but governments wont like that and u might get less money or help from them....

or like in other games there a pirates.. hm.. well... why not. maybe they need an other name.. fanatic people... there are always people that are evil enough to sabbotate or fight others for profit even if aliens attack. feeding them with weapons might raise terror-attacks. might also be new event: non-alien-attacks (terror mission vs those fanatics).

@winter:
u may be right, that production for sale is not good for gameplay.. but not realistic??? er.... atm i dont know a very small hi-tech company, that is popular enough.. well.... maybe "cray research" was. also there are today small companys that sell just a few cars in a year....

EDIT - topic: the price of a product in the real world is often not related to the time of production. a bit variation is also in game nice.

hard to say whats realistic.... especially in a game with aliens. humans may adept new techniques... but i also think that the paint in the middle is more comic-like. the others are great.
anyhow.... a bit science fiction is needed :).

remember what we were doing... 1990.. not that long ago:
- telephones uses a cable
- internet was well... invented
- there was no wikipedia
- today known countries werent born
- would u have kown that arnold schwarzenegger (conan the Barbarian) will be governor?

i like the 1. digital camo pattern a bit more. the new version is quite similar to the once on the left side.

EDIT: btw: blurred do they also look good. nice work destructavator :).

EDIT 2: ure gray isn't really gray, is it? hard to differentiate between gray and khaki..... orange or teal are also nice for multiplayer. maybe better than 2 different green.

Feature Requests / autofight and freelancers

after a while playing ufo-like-games i am always not very motivated to play those small missions. just boring if u have to chase 1-2 aliens for a long time on a small ship and that some missions in a row.
a "autofight" option in which by a calculation the mission is solved would be nice. maybe. to not make those autofight not to easy u can have a less chance to win, less profit or less experience on those.

it could also be possible not to send a own transporter. maybe u could pay some amount of money to hire some freelancers :). they get the money u the materials of the ufo.

or u could just send a cruise missile to "solve" the problem and not to risk any terror or other negative effects of a not tried mission (cheaper, but no materials as profil... hm.. even though u could argue that cruise missile are quite expensive for a small "company" like our defence).


EDIT: er..................... i am sry. there is already an other discussion about that..... well.... sry :).

There are no alien commanders.
hm......... a hive has normally different "units" that are from different importance. also it could be possible that the most important for the aliens hive isnt the aliens on the ship... maybe the aliens get help in a mission because of usefull items on a big ship. maybe not everything the aliens use is as easy to find again and rework on earth.

maybe the hive just decides to help the wounded aliens to use it as a chance to beat that annoying dropship of the earths defence..... who knows. i just want to say, that i like the idea and i cant see why its that unlogical.

[the borgs get back to get the deads bodys to use the rest of them again and to not give the enemy useful informations or technologies.]
