Title: Is it possible to protect UFO yards?

i havent played the game since ufo yards are available, therefore i'm curious: is there a way to protect ufo yards being bombed by aliens?
didnt found anything related while searching the forum...

You can build UFO-Yards into SAM-sites range. It works for me
